I have always been nit-pitty when it comes to how things are done as Mass, but most of the little things I can overlook. I know very few things actually make a Mass invalid and the RCC is the one, true church started by Christ. I’m just frustrated with inconsistencies in Mass. I wish our priests (all Catholic priests) would remember catholic means universal and quite doing things differently. My priest is very open and accommodating whenever I ask a question regarding the rubric but is it really my place to be asking such questions? I feel like I’m checking up on the priest all the time. Once I get used to the way my priest does things (even though I don’t think it is always how things are suppose to be done) I need to attend another parish for whatever reason and am confronted with a bunch more ‘abuses’. (I would never question a priest who was not my own pastor.)
I’m just frustrated and annoyed and ranting a little here but any suggestions are welcome.
When is it my responsibility to call a priest on an abuse? Is it ever?
