The Liturgy of the Mass isn’t subject to our personal opinions. The local Bishop decides on a case by case basis.
So true.
I wasn’t expressing that my opinion is authority, I was just expressing it.

I’ve been to some outdoor Masses but they were held before a church picnic or large event like a festival, and generally on the grounds of the parish (or nearby). Its been too long since I’ve been to a Mass outdoors. I am sure it would be nice to attend an outdoor Mass if the weather was not overly hot or cold, etc.

My hometown has a huge Our Lady of Guadalupe festival in a big stadium. Part of that celebration is a Mass at the beginning. This Mass cannot be celebrated at the local parish, even though it is almost literally a skip and a hop away. The reason is because of the huge crowd that shows up for this event.

Exactly. THAT is a good reason for having Mass outside a church.
