Hello all I’m considering on joining the Church but I have a problem my town has parish has two churches one downtown and another oen the other side of town Mass on Wendsdays and Fridays is held at the one downtown while Confession on Saturdays and Sunday Mass is at the other one I have no problem getting to the downtown church it’s not far from my apartment so I can walk I’m not able to drive so I wold have to take a taxi to Go to Confession and Sunday Mass taxis in my town are a little pricey (7 bucks one way) due to finacial issues I fear I wouldn’t always be able to go to Sunday Mass or frequent Confession for that matter. With that in mind if I were to not attend Snday Mass if some Financial trouble arose would I be comitting a Mortal Sin?

I would not let this stop you from turning Catholic. You never know the priest that is down town may be able to work something out or work out a ride. They do that in our parish here for people who do not have a ride. Or if all else fails God I am quite sure will work it out for you. Good luck and God Bless you for your good intentions.🙂

First I would just inquire about taking instructions for beocoming Catholic at the Church closest to you. It will be a while before you will be going to confession. If a parish does not offer confession at a convenient time, usually the parish priest will hear confessions by appointment. You don’t have to go to confession at the same place you attend Mass.
