Let’s remember that the so-called “Canon of Hippolytus” (which isn’t Eucharistic Prayer II, since it only survives in fragments) may not even have had liturgical use (in the 3rd century). There’s no proof.

There’s also no such thing as a “Mass of Paul VI”.

I felt so out of place. I didnt know what to do half the time. I really want to make this work. I am like a different person now. I had no idea I would feel like this. It is a happy feeling deep inside I cannot explain.

First of all, welcome back! I returned to the Church last year after an absence of 26 years, so I can relate to feeling out of place. Don’t worry if you don’t know what to do or if you make a few mistakes. You can always ask the person next to you in the pew if you have a question. I did this frequently and was always met with a smile and the help I needed. Remember, God is happy you are back

If you can find a program for returning Catholics, I highly recommend it. I went through one of those and it was very helpful. You might check with other Catholic churches in your area to see if any of them are offering the program this summer.

Welcome back always good to hear when someone decides to come back you have my prayers of strength my friend, it sounds like you are struggling a bit. Please also try the spirituality forum for support.

I think Church Militant explained things perfect. I won’t add anymore not that I could anyway. He knows a ton more then me. I just wanted to at least say hello

I am a convert so sitting close helped me a great deal btw, I still do because it helps me focus more.
