Mass For Lovers
At St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago, Catholic couples are invited to recommit to one another and renew their marriage vows in a special Valentine’s Day mass and ceremony. Jack and Kathy Berkemeyer share their experience at this year’s “Mass for Lovers,” held February 11, and describe what it means to take part in this annual event. Ms. Berkemeyer explains, “For me personally it’s so encouraging to be surrounded by people who believe in marriage, who are working at it, who love each other.”
