I am going on holiday to Kefalonia this summer and hoped I would be able to go to mass. Can anyone tell me the implications of my aspiration? Would I need to contact anyone, ask permission first?
There is one Catholic Church, in Argostoli. I’m staying in Fiskardo, which is the complete opposite end of the island. I wonder is that far? You say a great little island, but it looks pretty big to me?Been there. Great little island. The village I stayed in had only gotten electricity within the last 10 years & there was 1 phone. I loved it. But Mass? Geeese. All Greek Orthodox as far as I know. Hey check it out. After all if you can’t get to Mass the Orthodox Service is a great alternitive.
I heve never had anything but good experiences with the Orthodox. There is a lot of standing as I remember. Great & friendly folk.T…So, maybe I should go to an Orthodox service, what do I need to know? Will my Orthodox brothers and sisters be OK with that?

Check in with the pastor before matins, preferably at sat. vespers, or plan on not going forward for communion. Some Orthodox pastors will allow Catholics to commune, many won’t; almost all require confession during after vespers of communicants.I heve never had anything but good experiences with the Orthodox.
