Anyone have good recommendations for Mass in Memphis, Tennessee? We’ll be there on vacation and we’d like to find a good, solid Mass.

I know about masstimes.org, but that doesn’t tell which parishes are solid and orthodox and which aren’t. One year we stopped in Nashville for what we thought was Mass but was disappointing to say the least. We’d like to avoid a similar scenario this time around.

Thanks,
Cathy

Find the Cathedral diocesan Church. Stay away from the religious order parishes, very liberal. You may want to find the Roman Catholic Cathedral, or call the diocese of Memphis and get the number for the Cathedral, schedule of Masses etc. It is where the Bishop’s seat is=cathedra=cathedral.

The Cathedral handed out the Maryknoll voters guide:nope:

Yikes. Hmm. I’ll have to check out websites & see if I can find any other clues.

Thanks,
Cathy

While my religious order parish handed out the Catholic Answers voter guide.:yup: :clapping:

We would love to have you at my parish, St. Francis of Assisi in Cordova, TN. It is right off of I-40 at the Germantown Road exit.
The priests are very loyal to Scripture and Tradition. Click the link below and feel free to contact me with any questions.

Tennessee Mark, thank you so much for the info! I had done some research from your diocesan website before you had replied and St. Francis was one of the possibilities that popped up! Looks good!

Vacation in 12 days…yippee!
