Do you think of all the different types of prayers we Catholics have; is having a Mass celebrated (Mass Intention with a stipends)the most effective way to help in a loved ones repentance.Thank-you for your response.
 
The sacrifice of the Mass is a “replay”, so to speak, of Christ’s infinite sacrifice on Calvary. Because Christ’s sacrifice was of infinite value, so then is the Mass. By offering an intention in the Mass, it is the same as Christ offering His entire suffering for that particular intention.

Sure is. Doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with stipends. It’s all about the perfect Sacrifice of the Cross.
