Mass Intentions - name not mentioned

My pastor agreed to say today’s Mass for my father. I thought he might actually just add my Dad’s name to the prayers of the faithful (the intentions) since it was only a couple days ago that I asked. Anyway, he agreed and I saw him write the name on a sheet of paper. I saw the Mass (Internet), said by the other priest in our parish. No mention. What might have happened? Does the priest sometimes say Mass for someone without mentioning the name?
 
The name doesn’t have to be mentioned for a Mass to be offered for an intention. I’ve taken intentions, even for a stipend, at private Masses before. To whom would I mention the intention if I’m alone? It’s a nice thing to do, but saying the intention isn’t necessary. Trust that the priest did as he said he would and offered the Mass for your intention.

You mention that your pastor agreed to say the Mass for your father, but then the streaming Mass for that day was said by the other priest.

Did the pastor concelebrate the streaming Mass? If so, I presume that he personally had the intention for your father but he didn’t announce it. The other priest could have had his own intention (this is allowed) or had the same intention for your father (given to him by the pastor) but just not mentioned it.

If the pastor was not concelebrating the streaming Mass, my guess is the pastor said another Mass that was not live streamed, and your father was his intention (or one of the intentions) for that Mass. Most of the churches around here have priests saying multiple Masses each day, but the church is only streaming one of the Masses per day.

Thanks, Tis_Bearself, and you’re right. I assumed my request would go to the English mass. I watched the video for the Spanish mass, which the pastor celebrated yesterday, and my Dad was indeed mentioned by him, after the lector finished her part of the intentions.
