My pastor agreed to say today’s Mass for my father. I thought he might actually just add my Dad’s name to the prayers of the faithful (the intentions) since it was only a couple days ago that I asked. Anyway, he agreed and I saw him write the name on a sheet of paper. I saw the Mass (Internet), said by the other priest in our parish. No mention. What might have happened? Does the priest sometimes say Mass for someone without mentioning the name?
