I read Lamb Supper by Scott Hahn and he kept mentioning:
- Mass is similar to liturgy in heaven - My question is what makes it so divine if all we did was following the book of revelation? It is not like we already had established the liturgy before or during the book of revelation is written. Or my assumption that we only follow the book of revelation is wrong?
- Mass is heaven on earth, in mass we are united with the liturgy of angels and saints in heaven. I believe his theory is that because St. John saw a lamb on Mount Zion, then he connects that with Jesus’ last supper, then he also connects that with Heb 12 that there are angels and saints in Mount Zion. Is this the approved theory by the Church? I haven’t found other sources other than Scott’s book that also uses this theory. How does the Church believe that mass is heaven on earth, is there any biblical source supporting that a mass is heaven and earth?
