The cardinal is in a chasuble…the proper vestment of the Mass (as opposed to the cope)…if it’s not a Mass…it’s still inappropriate. If it is a Mass…God help us.
It is not fair game as the moderator of this forum said that it is not fair game.If it is a Mass, it’s fair game. If not…why is he wearing a chasuble and sitting in what is clearly a presidential chair?
This occured before the Mass started.GENERAL NOTICE
This thread can be an inspiring set of photographs depicting celebration of our liturgies from many points across the nation and the globe.
It is not to be used however, for:
a series of photos and/or commentary which attempts to disparage Mass celebrations,
contributions from the “usual suspects” who wish to throw barbs at individual parishes, bishops and dioceses and who often provide us with photos from anti papal and anti Catholic sites or,
An attempt to infer or imply that one rite is more “Catholic” than another or that liturgical “abuse” is the standard rather than the exception for those who disagree with them.
Those not interested in posting photos, as they prefer other Masses, are free to view and save commentary about their preferences for other threads where those comments are on topic.
Hijackers of the thread may regrettably find a change in the status of their posting privileges.
The thread topic is: Mass of Paul VI Pictures
Let us enjoy together!
Is there a pcture smewhere in there? I think I missed it?losangelesmission.com/ed/articles/2006/0606as.htm
Have fun. It offers a fine description of a Pauline Mass celebrated by a Cardinal Archbishop of a major archdiocese.
And, as for the rules of this forum…I wasn’t the one who posted that picture a second time and raised the issue of what it depicts.
Don’t flick cigarettes in forests and then wonder why fires erupt.
Pax tecum!Next Saturday its at Holy Rosary, so I’ll be there.
James O’Donnell from Westminster Abbey will be giving an organ Concert prior to Mass.
