Over the years I’ve had the great blessing of attending a Divine Liturgy from 11:30 pm into the New Year. The priests who did that have gone to their blessed reward, God rest their souls. Remembering that time and missing it, I was very delighted that EWTN had a mass of reparation beginning at 11 pm on New Years Eve. What a beautiful thing to be able to spend the beginning of the new year with mass, with our Lord, to offer prayers for reparation for our sins, for the good we neglected and for the good we did poorly. When the consecration came we could hear fireworks going off quite close by. Something right and fitting I thought.
