Does anybody know about “Mass of the catacombs”?

I was told this was a special mass with its own special liturgy. Apparently this took place in Australia.

What do we know about it?

if you heard this, rather than seeing it in writing, is it possible it was the Mass of the Catechumens? that is what the first part of the Mass used to be called before the changes following V2, for what we now call the Liturgy of the Word, because in the early church, as now, catechumens were dismissed before the beginning of the Eucharistic prayer since the unbaptized were not admitted to the “mysteries”.

Pax tecum!

In the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, the catechumens are told by the priest to leave before the Eucharistic prayer.

In Christ,

Certainly there aren’t any catacombs here in Australia (although there’s an entire town in the desert called Coober Pedy which is basically built underground, as in tunneled in, as protection from the heat - possibly they have an underground Catholic Church there as well??)
