Greetings,

Our parish priest offers Mass at seniors residence near our church called “The Rotary Villa”. My understanding is that the Rotary Club is Masonic or at least affiliated with the Freemasons. If that’s true, why is he offering Mass there? My guess is that there could be elderly Catholics that live there but that are not Masons. Any thoughts?

Pax Domini,
Rocco

Sounds suspect - however, the place may or may not be associated with the Masons, is the neame really referring to the Rotary Club?

Rotary International is not a member of the Masonic family. It is a n organization of professionals that do humanitarian work.

Chotock,

If the Rotary Club is not Masonic why would the Masons advertise them as part of they’re “family of clubs” on a transit bus ad here?

I have no idea, but Rotary International is not a Masonic organization.

Rotary international is NOT AFFILIATED IN ANY MANNER with Freemasonry. Remember masons are alos a service organization as is the rotarians as is the LIONS club international as is the ODD FELLOWS. SInce these are service organizations they often have joint functions. THese functions are in an association of service only.

Catholics can be Rotarians and LIONs…the Latter is a very frespectable organization.
