Mass said for people who committed suicide

I lost my step father 6 years ago even though there marriage wasn’t valid in the churches eyes he still looked after us all the years that he provided for us he killed himself by jumping from a bridge he was very ill at the time but none of us knew he hid that he was depressed from everyone I loved him like he was my father as for my biological father he abandoned us a long time ago and we want nothing to do with him i miss my step father a lot and i pray for him please pray for him thank you

Definitely have masses said for them. First of all, most suicides are likely the result of a severe mental illness, so culpability of the sin should not be presumed at all. Secondly, God’s mercy is such that He may very well have flooded the victim with grace before death occurred and the victim may have repented his act. Always hope, always pray for them. I
