Mass Stipends/offerings

Firstly if this is in the wrong place then please feel free to move it.

I want to have a mass offered for the repose of my parents souls, but I am unsure as to how much I should give as a stipend/offering for having the mass said. Any help/advise would be very much appriciated.

Call your parish and ask . At my parish, the usual amount is $!0.00, although one can give more if he/she wishes. I’m sure the amount is probably different depending upon where one lives.
 
In our parish, the usual stipend is $5.00, but, you might just ask the parish when you set your date.

Ours is $10.00
 
Typically in our diocese the stipend offering is $10. If the person can not afford this, though, a smaller stipend may be offered or the stipend will be waived. No one will be refused to have a Mass celebrated for his intention due to inability to pay.

Conversely, those who can afford to offer more (and most people can) may certainly do so. This is especially appreciated by retired priests, some of whom have little income outside their stipends.
 
I might recommend calling and finding out what the usual amount is and then pray on it and give from your heart… Can you give too much?
