*Scrutinies are not done with candidates only the Elect. *

What is the difference? What is a candidate?
A candidate is someone who is already baptized and is either being confirmed or being received into full Communion. The elect are those who will be baptized at the Vigil.

Today’s scrutiny was the Our Father, so the Priest should have said the Our Father to the catechumens. We said the Our Father with the Priest. A copy of the Our Father was handed to each catechumen.
The handing over of the Lord’s Prayer is not supposed to be done at the Mass with the Scrutinies but at a different time when the group meets. We meet on Sunday for catechesis so we handed on the Lord’s Prayer to them at that time but it was after Mass at a prayer service. It can be done at a service or at a Mass during the week.
