Is there a name for the vessels and towel used by the priest before the Consecration? I’ve never heard of one.

The Lavabo is the rite in which the priest washes his hands, so the items are usually called the Lavabo pitcher, the Lavabo towel, etc.

other sacred vessels used during the consecration:

container holding the hosts: ciborium

container holding the wine: chalice

The little bottles holding the wine and water before they are poured into the chalice are often called cruets.

Blessed are you Lord, God of all creation,
Through your goodness we have this wine to offer,
Fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
It will become our spiritual drink.

We should totally get the pattens back! I don’t think they are very costly (from the design) and certainly encourage more boys to “do something” for the mass!
