I agree, Lea. I don’t think it’s the norm either. Well, occasionally parishioners in my parish (in the UK) will attend a funeral as they are during the usual daily Mass and some people like to keep to their rule of daily Mass. Most avoid them though, either because funerals are double the length of the daily Mass or perhaps they find any funeral upsetting, or they don’t want to intrude.Petergee:![]()
I am talking about the norm from the culture I grew up in. Calm down.Who are you to dictate that “it’s really not a norm”?
Going to a stranger’s wedding? Particularly as they are usually such noisy affairs? Why would you? Mind you, if it’s after another Mass some of the ladies like to stand outside the church when everyone arrives to see what they are wearing (very little sometimes).
