Masses by third world priests for your intentions

Some years ago I knew a priest, who headed a leading Catholic organization, who said if you sent him the money, he would have a third world priest say mass for your intentions. I liked doing this because there are many very poor countries where money goes a long ways, and in fact where many people earn $40 a month or less, and so it could be of help to the Church in these countries. But this priest has retired now. I wonder if anyone here knows of a way of having third world priests say mass for your intentions?
 
At my parish Roman Catholic Church (All Saints in Manassas Virginia USA), when you turn in an unannounced Mass intention envelope it is a possibility that the prayers will be said by a Catholic Priest at a Church (in a poor area of a poor country) which has a close tie with our Church. I am very comfortable with this because I know and trust the staff and clergy at my Church.

My advice is this, don’t be taken by possible scams. Look to your own Church or Diocese first.
