Joan M. - much of what you have experienced I have also seen at La Santa Misa en español here. People talk - almost all of them - and very loud - in church. Little kids often run around during Mass. Mass always starts late. Many hold hands during the Our Father.
It really doesn’t bother me much. This is what they did in their native countries and it is better for the Latinos to come to Mass instead of being led into another church.
Since I can understand most of the Mass in Spanish, I prefer the translation of the Mass in Spanish. It is superior to the English translation.
