I’ve been to several Byzantine/Divine Liturgies in the past (by the way, which Catholic Churches use this form of the Mass? It was the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom…) and I find them really beautiful and reverent. I’m wondering if it is exactly the same for me, a Roman Catholic, to receive the Sacraments from the 22 other Catholic Churches as it would be for me to receive them from a Roman Catholic Priest. I’m not planning to do this, but could a Roman Catholic attend Divine Liturgies nearly always in preference to the Roman Catholic Masses? Could a RC go to a Divine Liturgy on Christmas Day or Easter Sunday?

Thanks!

Yes you can go to any Catholic liturgy you want. Regarding the Sacraments: If it is only the Eucharist and Confession then yes you can receive them regularly in the various Eastern Churches. The other sacraments have different rules …

Unless the priest has bi-ritual faculties then Confession would be done under the Eastern form as apposed to the Roman form.
