Hello Friends,

Many of you have asked that I set up a website for my prayer ropes. It’s been done! You can visit my site at themasterbeadsman.blogspot.com/. Please come by, leave comments, ask questions, and start discussions!!!

ICXC + NIKA,
Phillip

Phillip: Something I have, that is very similar to the Jesus Prayer:
The Chaplet of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 33 beads, with the prayer: “Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament have mercy on us”

Thought you would be interested.🙂

Thanks, John (I’m going to call you by that name unless/until you say I can use your real name on the forums :D). That would actually be a form of the Jesus Prayer, as the Jesus Prayer isn’t really limited to one set formula. I’m going to remember this for when I post information about the different forms of the Prayer, as well as devotion to the Holy Name in the East and West. 👍

Blessings brother Phillip - the site is terrific, as is your prayerful work!

Phillip, I hope God rewards and blesses you through the new website.

The Theotokos rope looks spectacular. I think I recognize that rosary. 😃

Phillip!
It’s so great to see your website! I would love seeing more pictures of your work! It makes not buying something almost impossible 😃

Hey Sean,

More pictures will be forthcoming as I get more ropes finished. I’ve got a new one that I’m particularly excited about. It’s basically set up like a Lestovka with a couple of very slight differences. I got the idea from Fr. Lev Gillet’s book on the Jesus Prayer. I’ll have pictures of it up once I get the tassel tied on the Cross; should be in the next few days.

Thanks, Tim. The rosary may very well be the one that you have now, although I think I did make a duplicate. 😃

Will you add your lestovkas to the site?
I love mine!
I will once I have some made up again. As of right now, I don’t have any in stock, and I don’t have any materials to make some. But I’m soon to be buying a re-supply of beads, so hopefully sometime in the near future I’ll have Lestovkas in stock again and will be able to post some photos.

A website? For chotki?

THEY DIDNT HAVE WEBSITE FOR CHOTKI IN 19TH CENTURY RUSSIA! IS OUTRAGE!

:D:D:D

Congratulations.

Dear Master Beadsman,

Congratulations on a truly excellent site!! May your God-given talent bring many prayer-beads into the hands of countless Christians and inspire them to pray unceasingly!

Folks - I have two Lestovki and two prayer ropes (not to mention two smaller ones) created by Phillip Rolfes, Esq.

They are all exquisite and make you want to hold them in your hands and pray with them.

So I can’t recommend his work highly enough.

To bead or not to bead - when it comes to Phillip, there is no question . . .

Alex
