All moral laws are expressions of eternal law. That includes the prohibition on masturbation.is Masturbation a divine prohibition ?
If you’re asking if God ever explicitly forbade masturbation, no.

The sin of Onan, from which we derive the term “onanism”, although it really was "coitus interruptus", but the end result is the same: wasted seed (sorry to be explicit). Orgasms and sexual pleasure are only legitimate in the blessed, consecrated union (marriage) of a man and a woman with an openness to procreation. Read Genesis 38:7-9. this passage gives us a now disused word for the practise of masturbation which the Catholic Church opposed, and even the early Protestant leaders opposed strongly: Onanism.

Not so sure RA… A womans clitoris is the ONLY human organ designed solely for pleasure. It has NO other purpose. A female orgasm does not spill seed needed for procreation. Certainly, female orgasm is not necessary for any given outcome. It does help, though. But the fact that I don’t need any particular tooth in my mouth (I could, after all, still eat even if I were missing one) doesn’t mean teeth have no purpose.
