As I read through most of the thread it seemed as if most of those posting were not emphazising that the Church teaches that this is an intrisically disordered act. It really doesn’t matter why people masturbate no more than why do people commit the sin of fornication. Your question seemed to seek out answers other than what our gift of sexuality is really meant for: unity between husband and wife and open to life.
