Knightbird:pull a cold turkey?..trust me I seriously cannot go 3 days with it getting me again. It is like programmed in my mind. The more I avoid it, the more head pains I get. It is insane. I do not understand what is the underlying reason I cannot break free.
Once I look at porn the pain in my head starts to leave. It is not something I can just completely stop without going into a seizure or something. I must have a demon in me or something.
As for those of you who stop cold turkey, that amazes me.
I can even feel my ears twitch from avoiding masturbation. Its really crazy
I don’t know how the other guys stopped - All I know is that I spent an awful lot of time in prayer begging the Lord to remove this “thorn in the flesh” from me, and one day, the answer changed from “No” or “Wait” to “Yes”. I just woke up one day and found this overpowering lust removed. It was miraculous.
Meanwhile, thank the Lord for the days when you’re able to avoid this sin, and remember that our Lord doesn’t consign you to the iciest regions of hell for doing it when you do - He just wants you to pick yourself up and to go to Confession and tell your confessor what you’ve told us, including the bit about the headaches.
Now, this is going to be hard here, and I just might get “flamed” for this, but here goes. Our Lord is far more worried about the State of You - He’s far more concerned that you know in your core that He really loves you, that He would have did everything He did and suffered everything He did if you were the only sinner who would have accepted His sacrifice. The Holy Prophet Isaiah says, “I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” (Isaiah 49:16a GOD’S WORD)

I could go on - Our Lord doesn’t want you to cower in fear over this sin - He wants you to take it to Him and hand it over, however often it takes and for as long as it takes. You’ll find He’s a lot more patient and gentle than most of us.
Do both of us a favor. Find a copy of the RSV-2CE if you can and read the 23rd & 24th Psalms together, Pray them SLOWLY. As you do, use - “The Lord is my shepherd” as a refrain, and say it every couple of verses Ps. 23 (“The Lord is my Shepherd”) vs 1-2, 3-4, & 5-6; Ps 24 ("The earth is the Lord’s) vs. 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 & 9-10. I was amazed when I realized that the Lord who is my Shepherd is the King of Glory who made the universe… Here’s the link from Biblegateway.
