What can you say about the topic title?, thisSite, contains some thoughts, or information (if you may), in accordance to masturbation being a gift to control ourselves, the site says that it is okay to masturbate AS LONG AS “WE DO NOT THINK ABOUT LUSTFUL THINGS”, the site also say to pray before we indulge ourselves,

in my opinion: I see the point, that the bible NEVER explicitly mentioned the word: “Masturbation”, and that masturbation is a SIGN that a man/woman CANNOT control himself, and that he/she SHOULD marry, and that the bible says that: if a we look at someone with lust in our hearts then we are already sinning.

I also can see the point that: “IF WE CAN MASTURBATE WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT EROTIC THOUGHTS, THEN MASTURBATION IN ITSELF IS A ““gift”” THAT GOD GAVE US SO THAT WE WILL NOT BURN IN PASSION/LUST”,

here’s another catch,

“CATHOLIC” is a word NEVER mentioned in the Bible, but it is still considered as the most comprehensive religion and also the most complete religion in the world, so if such a word can be so successful in the Holy Spirit, can MASTURBATION, (also a word NEVER mentioned in the Bible) be NOT A SIN IN ITSELF, BUT RATHER A WAY TO KEEP OUR PASSIONS FROM CONTROLLING US?.

I am not an enemy of God, & If & when I do masturbate I will confess it , or I will not approach the altar to receive, like a lot of other people in Mortal sin do, & dont tell me that isnt true.& also, there are a lot of animals around, given their sexuality by God. Because the Church says it is, so I have to abide by that, there are many people who have a problem with one or more teachings of the church , but they still abide by what it teaches, like our civil laws, we dont like a lot of them, but we have to abide by them. Lots of catholics wish birth control wasn`t a sin etc, but we have to abide by church teachings, even priests & consecrated religious have some problems with the teachings of the church

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but from what I’ve gathered from your previous posts, you go to confession and confess this sin constantly. You seek forgiveness, yet you do nothing to stop yourself from doing it again.

If you don’t think maturbation is a sin, then when you are going into Confession, you are not actually confessing that you did anything wrong, which means you are not seeking God’s forgiveness, meaning your confession is invalid. You cannot be forgiven if you aren’t sorry for what you’ve done or are doing. You also show no signs of wanting to change that sinful habit, which would be making God very unhappy. If you don’t think you’re sinning, confessing that sin has NO point.

Again, forgive me if I’m wrong about what you’ve implied. I’ll pray for you

You have no clue what i do to try to stop it, man can go a lifetime fighting a vice he has & may never win the fight, but at least he tried, thats all God expects, & only he knows if we make an honest try. When I go to confession I see many old people there & I think to myself what could they be confessing, probably a sin they could not rid themselves of no matter how hard they tried, when U fall, U get up again, as long as ANY of us live, we are going to sin in thought , word or deed, God knows man is weak & he knows your heart. Well, that’s great then As long as you admit it’s wrong and intend to make every effort to stop it in the future, then your confession is valid. I was under the impression that you thought one could keep masturbating all they want as long as they go to confession. Obviously, we need to try our best to stop the sin after we confess it to a priest. We cannot simply do all the sinning we want and get forgiven constantly. In that case, the person wouldn’t actually be sorry and therefore wouldn’t be seeking the Lord’s forgiveness.

You’ve just been saying there is nothing wrong with masturbation, so I didn’t think you were admitting that masturbation is sinful, because if you weren’t, then you would not be sorry, and therefore the confession would be invalid.

having a personal relationship with Jesus is never mentioned in the Bible either… but it is a good idea… and

***the best way to have a personal relationship with Him… In fact, one of the ONLY ways, i feel, is to spend time with Him at the Blessed Sacrament (Real Presence)… something so few Catholics do, it seems… which is one reason Catholics these days aren’t very Catholic…

i dont’ buy that… I have a drive that is, i believe, far stronger than average… (whether speaking of men or women). I get slightly aroused when i get touched a certain way… by clothing, etc… It is NOT easy to resist this physical desire i have (and have on and off all day long, it seems…)… and as stated, it seems to get stronger as time goes by… possibly becaues it is never satiated…

but in any case, Jesus told us to pick up our crosses and carry them… and i love the idea of saving everything for my future husband, assuming i will have one… frankly, the way men are, i don’t plan on ever marrying…
