Hello,

I have not posted in a while, but I have recently had some struggles with masturbation.

I am now 17, and I was very young when I discovered this, and at 11 I began to become quite addicted to it. At 13 i started making a sincere effort to quit, but I continued to struggle until sophomore year of HS when I did not masturbate a single time from August '14 to May '15. Those were without a doubt the happiest and greatest days of my life and I had very few troubles.

But I have so far this year has been really rough and I have gone through periods of intense discouragement. My grandfather passed away earlier this year. I then injured my shin over the summer and missed all but one race of the cross country season, and I cannot tell you how much I love running cross country. I struggled with scrupulosity, but I got over that almost entirely. However, I have not been praying nearly as consistently, and it might be because I have been trying to pray so many other additional prayers, including the Rosary. I recently simply conceded I do not have time to pray the Rosary everyday, but instead at least monthly.

Anyway, I just am looking for some encouragement and advice. I can’t tell you how frustrated I am with myself. One big problem I have is that I’ve been feeling like this year is ruined because I have fallen so many times. I know, I just know that I have it in me to go a whole year without it. But I feel so pressured that I will screw it all up and “break the streak.” I am not scrupulous, I know God will forgive me, but I just need encouragement and advice.

Please pray for me.

Nathan

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptations.

I also suffer from this problem, and I will pray for you most of all.

Domine Iesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra, libera nos ab igne inferiori, perduc in caelum omnes animas, praesertim eas, quae misericordiae tuae maxime indigent. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Domine Iesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra, libera nos ab igne inferiori, perduc in caelum omnes animas, praesertim eas, quae misericordiae tuae maxime indigent. Amen.

Merciful God please give Nathan the strength and wisdom to deal with his issues on a spiritual and practical level.
Thanking You in hope.

Our Lord told St. Faustina, “As many times as you beg for it, you glorify My mercy”. So don’t worry so much about how many times you have fallen, just make sure you get up again and go to our Lord for His mercy in the sacrament of reconciliation.

Also, ask the Lord to slay the demon of your lust. I heard about that in a talk from Father Larry RIchards, and it really does work. Another thought would be to wear the Brown Scapular and ask Our Lady to help you remain pure. Wear it at night, also.

Finally- I am adding you to my daily prayers. May God bless you.

I pray that God will give you the grace to believe in prayer and live a life of diligence in order to avoid sin.

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assissi:
+++
Fervently, I ask you O Lord,
That by the fiery and honey-sweet strength
of your love, I may be free-ed from all things
under Heaven.
That I may die out of love
for You, who came to Earth to
die out of love for me.
Amen.

Today pick up a bilbe and memorize

three things

Romans 6:13
Philipians 4 : 8
1 John 1:9
  1. confess your sins and repeat 1 John 1:9 from heart and believe you are forgiven
  2. After confessing read Romans 6:13 and always keep it in your heart
Every time the temptation comes say Romans 6:13 and Philipians 4 : 8
Let Satan hear you clearly

then do rosary every day

You will be clean I promise you need to fight with God’s word and rosary

I am ashamed to confess that I have fallen again today. I have offended God so many times recently that I cannot even grasp the damage. Please continue to pray for me, especially that God will help me to pray whenever I face temptation.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Keep praying, and remember to avoid “the near occasion of sin”- meaning, avoid anything that might lead you to fall into that sin.

I will continue to pray for you. God bless you.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen. †

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Jesus, Lover of chastity,
Mary, Mother most pure,
and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin,
to you I come at this hour,
begging you to plead with God for Nathan.

He earnestly wishes to be pure in thought,
word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity.

Obtain for him a deep sense of modesty
which will be reflected in his external conduct.
Protect his eyes, the windows of his soul,
from anything that might dim the luster of a heart
that must mirror only Christlike purity.

And when the “Bread of Angels becomes the Bread of me”
in his heart at Holy Communion,
seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.

Heart of Jesus, Fount of all purity,
have mercy on us.

Amen.

I have fallen back into the same sin as you. Please do not be afraid to go to confession. And if you never forget the grace of final perseverance until death as a grace hidden in the rosary.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
