Matthew 23:14 20-23

“and whoever swears by the sanctuary, swears by it and by the one who dwells in it”

Was reading through this passage and this bit stuck out at me, could this be foreshadowing of the Eucharist present in the tabernacle that we have today?
 
The Pharisees were splitting hairs to make their oaths. Instead of swearing to God, they would swear on the Temple or the alter. This way their oaths would be less binding. Jesus was telling them this was a false distinction and it devalued the sacredness of the practice.
