An enlightening thread.

From the first thread, I never talked to RS on this but I’ve exchanged letters with Unity Publishing without any trouble. I’ve always acted cordial and I was not writing to disagree with him on anything. He was kind enough as well.

This medal I am certain is from Ireland and Christina Gallager is from there…also I got photo copy of the information from a friend who had it hidden away somewhere in her house in a Bible. Was curious as new Catholic in 2004 asked her about it to find me one. But never got one. A lady today had one on her rosary as she prayed to find her husband on it and married and has 5 kids. I prayed also to find my husband not married yet but could be soon…to a man that God knows.
So the intercession of the medal is miraculous I would say as this women that I first found the medal in her house is now engaged and to be married soon this year.
So just thought I share this with you as a blessing I found along the way in my pilgrmage travels with Young Adults and Adults.

My sister lives very close to the prayer house in Minnesota. Across the street from the prayer house is a pub that is owned by an Irish family. They’re very nice people who’ve owned this establishment for years, before this house was even built. I just thought the coincidence of both Christina and this family having Irish roots could be considered a small miracle. We’ve been celebrating St. Patrick’s day at this pub ever since my sister moved to this community sixteen years ago. What are the chances these people would also be Irish?

If you believe the Medjugorje messages, and are interested in Christina Gallagher like I was…scroll down to what Medjugorje Vin say. Apparently Ana Shawl knows personally knows Vicka:

medjugorje-online.com/for…=972&start=135

Basically, Christina Gallagher’s website was claiming Vicka said Christina was authentic, but (at that time anyway) Vicka didn’t even know who she was.

I’ve been to the House of Prayer in Leander, Texas as my mom lives there and was drawn to the group as they believe there will be a time in the future when Christians will not be allowed to worship and this is the jist of building them. It did not have any confessions or mass. They sold the medals in another small building off-site.

Knowing the series of things quickening in the world around us you can’t help but wonder… yet you know that the Catholic Church is the authority on these things so you are wary but even with people who have been approved it sometimes has taken years and years before they are approved.

Dear All

Why would one go and wear a medal of unapproved apparitions? The copyrighted medals? Shouldn’t we be prudent at times? Why are we allowing ourselves to be bullied? Do you know why there are so many protestant sub churches? Because they dont have a divine supreme source to draw the truths, that’s why everyone defines the truth as one deems fit. We have the church, why don’t we listen to it? How many approved medals, rosaries and scapulars we ve so far? Why don’t we stick to those at the moment? Do we know that Jesus, God the son is at the church everyday? God for heavens sake, God I repeat.

The fruits Jesus talked about includes and especially the seers themselves, Christina said that Our Lady asked for a mansion to be built (I read from christian light) can our Lady really ask for such a thing?

:highprayer:
Thank you very much! And thanks for the link too. I’ve been puzzled ever since I got the medal. Now I know!

👍
I have recently read a book about the whole affair. The Sorrow, the Sacrifice and the Triumph by Thomas W. Petrisko. It was very good. The messages are the all the same as approved apparitins, come back to my Son Jesus, stop finding fault with one another, pray pray pray the rosary go to confession, and convert your hearts to God. Not sure why they are not approved. Many approverd messages were originally banned too. Divine Mercy for 30 years was suppressed. Padre Pio for 10 years could not say public Mass or hear confessions. St. Bernadette heavily criticized and the Fatima children too. I think we have to let time tell what is going to happen.I currently do not have a medal. However there is a shrine in Hinkley ,Ohio with a statue of the 2 hearts of Jesus and Mary. This is not unique, as we know Mary always leads to Jesus. Hope this helps you all. Joann W.

Christina Gallagher was disproved by her local bishop years ago. She was never a visionary. Therefore, the “matrix medal,” which she created on her own, has no divine graces.

Statement Regarding the Work of Mrs. Christina Gallagher at the House of Prayer at Achill
Most Rev. Michael Neary*
Archbishop of Tuam
Statement of Archbishop Neary,
February 29th, 2008

The Tuam Diocesan Office has recently received a considerable number of media enquiries regarding this matter. In 1996 I established a diocesan commission of enquiry to investigate certain claims regarding and emanating from this work. In 1997, acting on foot of a report from the commission, I issued a lengthy public statement to the effect, in essence, that no evidence of supernatural phenomena had been observed but that the persons involved gave every evidence of good faith. Arising from that, I proposed a basic canonical structure that would gradually integrate the work of the House into the life of Achill Parish and the Archdiocese. While this was then attempted by the Archdiocese, I became increasingly perturbed by an apparent absence of enthusiasm on the parts of Mrs Gallagher and her associates. The relationship deteriorated to the extent that Mrs. Gallagher, in July, 1998, closed the ‘House of Prayer’ at Achill, expressing to the media at the time a sense of having been harshly treated by the Archdiocese. In order to clarify the issue for the faithful I issued another statement, regretting the development and expressing grave misgivings as to the wisdom with which Mrs Gallagher had been advised and had acted in the matter.

Diocesan efforts to integrate this work ended in July, 1998 when it was closed by Mrs. Gallagher. Celebration of the sacraments and reservation of the Blessed Sacrament at the ‘House of Prayer’ are not permitted. Any work carried on since then has been entirely of a private nature and has no Church approval whatever. Neither, for reasons given above, does such work enjoy the confidence of the Diocesan authorities. Nothing has been brought to my attention to indicate that I should change from this position in the future. Over the years since then, the Tuam Diocesan Office has clearly and consistently replied to enquiries in respect of this work, which Mrs. Gallagher recommenced.

I respect the faith and devotion of many people who have been impressed by this work in the past, some of whom have expressed their sadness at my stance. Finally, I wish toremind all Church members that they should not hesitate to enquire, as a matter of course, at local diocesan offices regarding the standing of any work describing itself as Catholic, should they be in doubt.

In summary the ‘House of Prayer’ has no Church approval and the work does not enjoy the confidence of the diocesan authorities.
