I’ve listened to the first two hours so far. I’m always amazed at how brilliantly and beautifully Christopher West can articulate the great mystery our holy bodies. Such a great message and reminder.

I especially liked when West said about 1 1/2 hours through about the two Bishops who saw an attractive women on the other side of the road, one looked at her and one looked away. West asked which one showed the greatest purity and who did the right thing?

The answer was that both did the right thing in that if looking away keeps you from having lustful thoughts then that is good, but what was so brilliant that West said was that the Bishop who looked was just as pure because as Jesus says in the Beatitudes, ”Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.”

The miraculous truth here is that we can’t hind ourselves away but rather if we are pure of heart, we can truly see men and women for who they really are, sons and daughters of God created in His image! That quote has to be one of my favorites from West now.
