what qualifications does matt sorger have to preach in a catholic church, i am sceptical of his ministry, is he a practising catholic

Robert, as far as I can ascertain from the web page, Matt Sorger is not a Catholic. This of course doesn’t mean that his message can’t be listened to by Catholics if it doesn’t conflict with Catholic teaching.

Is he going to speak at a parish you are aware of? He may not, of course, speak at Mass.

If so, what is he going to talk about?
You could ask the parish priest this question.
Has the bishop given his approval?
This again you could ask the parish priest. If the bishop hasn’t been consulted you could perhaps let the bishop know that thie man will be speaking at X parish.
