Have y’all heard of the Matt Walsh blog? What do y’all think of it?
 
I know of it and him and I don’t like his approach. I don’t know if he really thinks the way it seems or if he expresses himself poorly or he doesn’t think about what he’s putting out there before he writes. I mean, one would think so but he knows there are people who will agree with him so he just goes with that but he doesn’t realize how what he says is perceived by others.
 
Love his blog. I don’t always agree with him 100% but that’s part of why it’s worth reading. He uses solid Catholic teaching but also approaches issues from a secular perspective.
 
He may use solid Catholic teaching, but is he Catholic? For some reason I am thinking he’s Lutheran or something…Just something to be aware of…

He has confirmed that he is a practicing Catholic.

Yes, I LOVE his blog. He usually hits the nail right on the head, but even when I disagree, he always brings out excellent points that need to be discussed.
 
No probs 27lw! I didnt know he was catholics for the longest time, but suspected it because he used terms like “natural law” and is very pro life. And then he actually confirmed it once and posted some stuff from the CCC on one of his blogs.

How does someone confirm on a blog they are Catholic?

I read your link and liked how he responded to the e-mail about monogamy being unnatural.

He said in an interview that he is a devout Catholic when asked what his religion is. Also, he posted some quotes from the CCC on one of his blogs. Also, he mentioned once that he is catholic on a comment he left on his own blog post. 🙂
 
I have heard faithful Catholics who speak sternly from a place of love. It seems to me that Matt Walsh just speaks sternly.
 
I have. I was reading several conservative blogs and his site was mentioned in one of the posts.

I think Matt has good ideas, for the most part, and I don’t always agree with his thought process. Apparently he is loathed by the internet social progressives that know his site. His delivery of his posts definitely isn’t subtle - he’s quite blunt.

One thing that can definitely help his site is the formatting of it.

In saying that, it’s not one of the sites I frequent compared to others, but if it’s mentioned in the ones I do visit I tend to read what he said. In a way, Walsh is the Rush Limbaugh of the blogosphere, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

There are others that I dont like so much, like when he talks negatively about college or when he creates too much of a division between liberals and conservatives.

Yes, an excellent post by Walsh. I’ll admit that Walsh says/write things that people who are skeptical & critical of modernity aren’t willing or hesitant to say. Sometimes a thought needs to be written down or spoken for the public to see or to be heard.
 
I like his blog but I don’t follow it regularly. In fact, the only time I really read it is when one of my friends posts a link on Facebook. The friends who do read him faithfully and post the links are the same ones who would quit reading it if they realized he was Catholic.
 
Matt Walsh is so brave ❤️ more Catholics should be like him, and stand up and be counted…even if what we have to say sounds harsh.
