Hi everybody. Reflect on the following:
**21 Jesus said to them in reply, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not waver, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.
22 Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.” **
My wife and I have prayed to Jesus (and asked for the intercession of Mary and saints) for the healthy birth of a healthy child (she is now about 13 weeks pregnant - after having 4 miscarriages in a row. This is the furthest along she has ever been).
We asked for something and through faith believe that Jesus has granted it to us (and will continue this blessing all the way through the healthy birth of our healthy baby) - kind of like it is on “auto-pilot” now - just have complete faith that all will be OK.
If we CONTINUE asking for the intercession of Mary and the saints regarding a joyful outcome, is that demonstrative of waivering faith? Maybe all we should be doing is THANKING them for their intercessions that brought us here. I’m confused…
Also, if my wife feels a strange sensation, she immediately gets really concerned…I on the other hand, do my best to remain completely calm about it, doing my best not to waiver in my faith that Jesus keeps his promises (regarding what he said in Matthew 21:22.) I feel like if I get freaked out and start praying for the safety of our baby when she feels something weird, isn’t that like NOT having faith that we will get what we’ve asked for?
