“But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.”
Raca, last time I checked, has to do with accusing someone of betraying you.
I would like to talk more about this passage. Is this about not being angry with people only?
I am confused because if someone does something to break our trust, should we not at least admit, to ourselves, that they betrayed our trust, so that although we should forgive them, we can be careful of trusting them? “Be innocent as doves and cunning as serpents.”
I am wondering about this passage about betrayal; always found it rather cryptic.
