My definition of “free speech” is this:
The GOVERNMENT cannot silence political dissent. The first amendment is a contract between the government and it’s people.
In that video, those protestors shut down this anti gay speaker. They stifled his free speech, as it is defined by them. That makes them hypocritical and tyrannical. And yes, a tyranny of a minority is possibe. (See: Sunis in Iraq & Saddamn)
I am mad that those people thought that they had a right to crawl through the windows yelling and screaming, with the intent of silencing that speaker! And they did!
If they as members of our society can do that, then WE, as members of a society can do the same thing, and it’s high time that we fought back!
I am angry that my side did nothing, but let those people shut them down in the name of “we’re better than that” That we are a spineless bunch.
Yes, I am for real and I did say that and believe it. Those “few” had the power to shut down free speech, as described by those same few.(liberals, feminists) I am sorry that I said that commnet because it would likely lead into a discussion on feminism, which, we don’t need to get into on this thread. I would gladly, and have done so, gone into detail in another thread on feminism. Are you being for real? I honestly cannot believe you said that. How judgemental of you to pass assumptions upon a whole gender or class of people based on the actions of a few you disagree with.
Certainly. The definition of “frree speech”, as defined by the likes of those protestors, is this:I don’t understand where you are getting your whole, “silence of free speech” comment, maybe you can explain??
Code:
Everyone is granted unlimited freedom to say whatever they like, whenever they like to. That freedom is protected by the governmnet. No topic is forbidden, as long as it agrees with us(the protestors) and it comes from the minority opinion. If you are religious, white, or male, you must be limited as to what you can say.

Could be part of it, just as they are angry because their beliefs aren’t aligned with mine. I also believe that they are trying to get what does not belong to them, gay marriage. Also that this gay “acceptance” thing will lead us to socialism. Why are you so outraged? Because people are different from you? Because their beliefs aren’t aligned with yours?
