May an MC wear a Fascia

Here we have three non-seminarian servers from my Cathedral. Although it is a but hard to make out in the photo, all three are wearing fascias.

My pastor and bishop have both seen me wearing it in conjunction with a surplice during the Mass. No problems and no special permission needed. NOW, if I was wandering around wearing a cassock and a band cincture without a cassock outside of the Mass (which I would never do of course), they might very well have a concern – with or without the cincture.
 
In my diocese, no pastor has stayed in the same parish for more than a few years.

Not really addressing the question at hand. Are Fascias permitted to servers?
I posted this picture solely as an example of servers wearing fascias.
Also, I asked a seminarian friend, and he said that there was no problem with it.

They certainly are in my diocese based on the actions of my bishop. That’s all I need to worry about. If you “dig deep” trying to find a documented prohibition from the Church you won’t find one, unless you use a silly interpretation.

Much like the Roman collar. There is absolutely nothing that keeps altar boys from wearing them while serving Mass. That’s rarely done in the USA though. Just an undocumented local custom.
