The ceremony “Crowning of an Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary” can take place:
Within Mass, after the homily.
Within Evening Prayer; or
Within a Celebration of the Word of God.
The instructions on the are in the “Order of Crowning an Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary” which was decreed on 25 March 1981. It is the last section in the book: The Rites Volume Two, Liturgical Press, 1991, ISBN: 0-8146-6037-1, beginning on page 449.
