I’d really like to go to church with my mother on Christmas Eve. She is Lutheran. Would it be acceptable for me (as a Catholic) to attend the Christmas Eve service in her church with her?
You are permitted to do an act of charity in accompanying your mother. But you will be there as an observer and may not receive their eucharist. You will also still be obliged to attend Mass for Christmas.
