May I eat a very small candy just before Communion?

I suffer from severe dry mouth, and sucking on a small piece of candy helps a lot, but I’m unsure if I can receive Holy Communion if I ingest it less than 1 hour before Communion?
 
Dear friend,

The Eucharistic fast does not include medicine. In this instance the candy is being used to aid a medical problem. So you may use candy in this way without breaking the fast.
