May I offer prayers for CS Lewis?

If I was asked to identify the human instrument which initially brought me back to God I would have to cite the works of CS Lewis.

As a RC may I request a mass to be offered for the reposal of his soul - and I suppose to broaden out the question may a RC priest offer a mass for a non- catholic.
