May I receive ashes this Wednesday even though I cannot yet receive communion?

I am a returning Catholic. In order to receive the sacraments, I know I have to have my marriage convalidated. However, may I receive ashes this Ash Wednesday? I wasn’t sure where that one fell in the scope of things.
 
Yes, you may receive the blessed ashes this Ash Wednesday. The blessed ashes are a sacramental, not a sacrament, and therefore available to everyone who would like to receive them in a devout manner.
