May non-Catholics receive the Eucharist?

Can you please tell me if it is okay for a priest to knowingly allow non-catholics (protestants) to receive communion at mass? I have entered a Benedictine abbey that allows non-catholic retreatants and oblates to receive communion when they come to our chapel.
