I have heard that, as a Catholic, if I do not like a homily, and want to show my outrage, that I can stand up during the rest of the mass? Is this true?
No, that is not an acceptable way to show your reaction to the homily. You may tell the priest privately or write him a letter. To stand up when everyone else is sitting, disrupts the liturgy and puts all the attention on you.
