May Protestants receive Communion at Catholic funerals?

Hi maybe you can help. A friend of mine has asked me if a Born Again Christian can recieve communion at a catholic funeral? Also is it inappropriate for a non catholic to recieve communion? I automatically said it is, but I certainly can be wrong.
