Hi!
I noticed that my new parish started saying the Apostle’s Creed in place of the Nicene Creed in Mass during Advent and Lent and revert back to the Nicene Creed during the rest of the liturgical year. I’ve attended many different parishes in the past as a military brat and as a member of the armed forces and have never said the Apostle’s Creed in Mass instead of the Nicene Creed. Is this a new practice or is there a reason to substitute one for the other?
