May we become Catholic if we have been "fixed" ?

I am non catholic but me and my husband want to join the catholic church. Also neither of us are saved. My question is is that we didn’t want children so he had a vasectomy and I had a tubal ligation procedure done. Later though I found out that I was already infertile before the procedures we did. So what is the Churches Stance in my situation?

While the Catholic Church sees such procedures as seriously sinful, it offers forgiveness for all sinners who are repentant. Certainly, you are both welcome in the Catholic Church. Welcome home!
