There is a Holy Souls Rosary that goes from black beads to white beads as it goes around.

From darkness to light.

It’s just a marketing thing.

I have a light green rosary. The stones are very similar to this one–

If you like the colors of the one you linked to, you can take a pair of jeweler’s pliers and remove the little “Hope” ribbon off it. Poof, it’s a regular rosary again.

What?

Mine is purple because it’s my favorite color. I also have a white one I made when I was in elementary school because it resembled sister’s habit.
I think I’ve changed my mind and am not going to buy another one just yet. I love my crystal aurora borealis. I’d maybe like a purple aurora borealis one instead of green, someday.

Am I supposed to be more conscious about color choices?
In January my friend is going to the Holy Land and she’s going to bring me a rosary from there.

Another friend was in Rome several years ago and brought back rose colored/scented rosaries for a bunch of us in a Bible Study I used to be in.
The scent was so strong, I couldn’t stand it so I gave it away.

So many people have appropriated colors for so many things that now there are many overlapping meanings. Colors have become meaningless except to the person who owns the item.

So pick your own meaning for the colors of rosaries you get/have. Then it can be a great remembrance for you. 🙂
