I would have to say that unless your Bishop say they can have the meat no meat.

I don have a Question for any one out there since we are talking Lenten Dietary Rules. Does anyone know If all seafood is acceptable
or is it Just Fish?
Anything cold-blooded is acceptable.

You don’t have to give speeches about being Catholic and not wanting meat. You can ask for a vegetarian meal without offering any explanation. You can even say you’d rather not have meat on that day, hope that’s not a problem.

Personally, I think leaving the meat untouched is less offensive than not considering the fasts of the Catholics when inviting some. In many places people have the sensitivity to offer fish on Friday as a general rule.

One of the great misconceptions about Catholics and Lent, is that every Friday we throw a big fish on a platter…how silly.

Cheese Pizza
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Bean Burritos
All kinds of pasta dishes
Soups
Salads/Baked Potatoes
Vegetable platters
Cheese enchiladas

C’mon, youse guyse add your own…but NO FISH…
Why not fish?

Hi, it has always been the custom to eat fish instead of meat on Fridays. This is why the request was not to mention fish dishes because most of us know about fish dishes.
It is more creative to mention other types of non-meat or non-fish foods.
We are just trying to be creative.
Okay… lets talk about fish dishes. I like fried cat fish, fried sole, fried halibut, fried scallops. A mixture of fish soup. Sushi is fun to eat. Fried fish burgers from take-out places are good.
I grew up eating fried fish on Fridays.
