Ok I need some advice on whether or not I’ve done something wrong here. During the friday’s in lent, a Catholic co-worker and myself have been ordering sushi on fridays for lunch. We don’t hang out outside work, but from what I know he’s kind of a CINO. Anyway, I always order the food in advance b/c i have a scheduled break. But, today he decided he wanted something with meat in it for the first time.
I made it clear a few days earlier that I don’t eat meat on friday’s and he basically said he doesn’t care about it and he eats meat. All that being said, do I commit a sin by ordering a Catholic (albeit Cafeteria) something with meat in it today? It’s not a situation where he forgot or something like that, it’s just sadly he doesn’t care 2 much. I try to be a good example and stuff, but should i have refused to order food today and on future Lenten Friday’s if he wants something with meat. One side is saying that I aided and abetted a sinner while my other side is saying he knew what he was doing, and all i did was order food. He’s not really someone I talk to outside work so i don’t know what i should do.
Your thoughts?
